Ohio dental clinic serves more than 1,000 people

In late 2023, MedWorks continued its series of dental clinics in northeast Ohio with a two-day event at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland that saw more than 1,000 people receive dental services.

Delta Dental Foundation is a long-time supporteer of Medworks has has held more than 60 clinics in Northeast Ohio and provided more than 24,000 individuals with 40,000 appointments and services since 2009. These large-scale medical, dental and vision clinics serve those who otherwise would not have access to this essential care.

A pair of Delta Dental of Ohio employees, Alli Stahl and Sarah Rossen, volunteered to staff the Huntington Convention Center event. Each spent their time helping patients with paperwork and directing them to the appropriate care station.

“This was my second year volunteering,” Rossen said. “Last year, I worked in the X-ray and prosthodontic area, and this year I helped manage flow in the entrance area. Everyone was so happy to be there—so patient with the process and grateful for the care they were receiving.”

Stahl worked in the prosthodontic area this year, where patients were examined to see if they needed dentures.

“There were a few people who received their partial while I was there, and it was so rewarding to see how happy they were and the big smiles on their faces,” Stahl said.

Medworks will be back at the Huntington Convention Center in 2024 with another two-day clinic being held Nov. 22-23. See here, for a full rundown of upcoming Medworks clinics.
